Holi maybe over but it has left behind colorful stains all over your house. Be it the floor, curtains, bathroom, porch and all the possible spots children played holi are drenched in vibrant shades of pink. We have already shared with you the tips helping you make your home Holi ready, but let\u2019s face every preparation lacks in front of the festive enthusiasm your kids, family, and friends show. However, we are pretty sure that if you followed the guide thoroughly and made every given preparation, cleaning your home now won\u2019t be a difficult task.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s start with the cleaning routine guild \u2013<\/p>\n

1. Floor Cleaning
\nOne of the most affected area post holi is the floor. And the sooner you\u2019ll clean it the better. Otherwise, there is a risk of leaving a permanent mark. If there is dry color on the floor, wipe it away with a broom. Otherwise, if your floor is stained then prepare baking soda and water paste and pour it over the stained area. Let it rest until it dry and then wipe it off using a wet rag.<\/p>\n

2. Furniture Cleanup
\nDon\u2019t let those gross looking color patches stay on your furniture for long. Remember if it is dry color simply dust it off, no need to wipe it with a wet cloth as it may make the cleaning process a bit more troublesome. On the other hand, if it is a dried color stain remove it with acetone solution.<\/p>\n

3. Cleaning Upholstery
\nLike the floor and furniture remember in case of upholstery to dust off the dry color. You can simply do it with your hands, no need to use a broom or vacuum. In the case of watercolour stain, it is recommended to dip the curtain in white vinegar and water solution.<\/p>\n

4. Other Items
\nHoli color also gets splashed on windows, panes and glass items. Don\u2019t worry it\u2019s simple to remove such stains, all you need is acetone for wood items and baking soda and water mixture for glassware.<\/p>\n

5. Getting color off from your clothes
\nThough it is a norm to wear worn out clothes for holi that are to be thrown after the playful act. But sometimes we spoil our new festive clothes by accident, in that case, all you need to do is just soak them in a bucket full of soapy water for few hours.<\/p>\n
